Putin noted that Russia was able to compensate for the closure of Western markets and expanded its commercial contacts with states in the rapidly growing regions of the world.
“We were able to compensate for the actual closure of Western markets, to expand the foreign trade links of the Russian Federation with the states of the rapidly growing regions of the world,” said the head of state.
According to Putin, even before all the current crisis phenomena and the start of a special operation in Ukraine, Russia was slowly reorienting itself to rapidly developing markets.
“And now the situation has developed in such a way that it turns out that we did not do this in vain. Moreover, they even did it at a slower pace than they should have. But nothing. The fact is that we are just continuing this trend, ”the head of state concluded.
According to him, in 2022, trade with these parts of the world grew at a double-digit rate and continues to increase now.
