Russian energy conglomerate Gazprom’s 2022 year-end net profit decreased by 72.2 percent compared to the same period in 2021. In the 12 months of last year, this figure fell from 2.684 trillion rubles to 747.25 billion rubles. informs TASS, referring to the company’s report.

“According to the results of 2022, Gazprom’s net profit according to RAS (Russian Accounting Standards – socialbites.ca) amounted to 747.25 billion rubles. That’s 72.2% lower than in 2021.”

In 2021, Gazprom reported a net profit of 2.684 trillion rubles. Thus, this figure fell more than 3.6 times in 12 months. At the same time, the monopolist’s income during this period increased by 25% to 7,979 trillion rubles. However, gross profit in 2022 decreased by 12% to RUB 3.21 trillion, according to the financial report.
