The Altai Republic became the absolute leader in terms of investment inflows from all sources of financing in 2022. This region received 81.4% more investment than a year ago. Second place was Sevastopol, which received 60.4% more funds compared to 2021.
The Astrakhan region, Kalmykia, Kostroma, Vologda and Pskov regions were located between the outer regions with an insignificant difference from each other. In 2022, they attracted about a third less investment than a year ago.
The publication noted that, in total, all Russian regions increased the investment inflow by 4.6% compared to the results of 2022. This estimate includes both investments from small businesses and investments not observed by statistical methods. At the same time, market experts think this indicates low investment activity for small businesses.
