The assets of Ekaterra tea producer Lipton, which left the Russian Federation, may attract the attention of investors and subsequently be acquired by the United Tea Company. It has been reported “Kommersant”.
We are talking about a possible agreement for the purchase of capacities that allow the production of tea up to 16 thousand tons per year.
According to media reports, the deal will allow the investor to expand tea production under the brands of retail chains.
As disclosed, the Federal Antimonopoly Service has received a petition from United Tea Company LLC for pre-approval to purchase Ekaterra’s manufacturing facilities and intangible assets.
The notification is known to appear in the FAS database. Details of the upcoming deal were not provided.
