Armenia offered India a trade corridor through the Black Sea to make the route of Indian products to the Russian Federation and European countries shorter and faster. writes about it Economic Times.

It was noted that the proposal was made during the visit of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to India. According to Yerevan’s proposal, the route should connect Mumbai to Europe via Iran and Armenia, bypassing Azerbaijan, which Yerevan and Delhi have not very good relations with.

The new corridor will also create an additional route bypassing the Suez Canal to avoid conflict between Russia and the West.
