The Russian environmental operator (REO) has proposed to stop paper payments for housing and communal services (HCS). The newspaper writes about it “News”.
The publication cites a corresponding letter sent by REO Director General Denis Butsaev to the Russian Ministry of Construction.
The message states that 50 tons of paper was spent on monthly distribution of receipts, which ended up in landfills. It is also stated that printing payment orders has become more expensive due to rising paper prices for managing and funding organizations.
At the same time, REO decided that paper receipts should be kept for some categories of citizens for the time being. We’re talking specifically about retirees.
Previously reportedThat almost 40% of Russians abandoned paper receipts for electricity bills and switched to electronic ones.
