German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in an interview with the TV channel: CNNGermany’s independence from gas, oil and coal supplies from Russia, and this does not lead to an economic crisis or a shortage of energy resources.
“We have secured our independence from gas, coal and oil supplies from Russia,” the politician said.
He added that a year ago it was hard to imagine that Germany could easily survive economically without Russia’s gas supplies to Germany and many parts of Europe.
According to Scholz, the expectations of many did not materialize, and the FRG did not experience economic crisis, social instability or fuel shortages.
