German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in an interview with the TV channel: CNNGermany’s independence from gas, oil and coal supplies from Russia, and this does not lead to an economic crisis or a shortage of energy resources.

“We have secured our independence from gas, coal and oil supplies from Russia,” the politician said.

He added that a year ago it was hard to imagine that Germany could easily survive economically without Russia’s gas supplies to Germany and many parts of Europe.
