Rosstat: Kaluga region leads in 2022 in the rate of decline in real incomes of the population

At the end of 2022, real money incomes of the population in Russia fell the most in the Kaluga region. In that region of the Russian Federation for 12 months, this indicator decreased by 8.4%, significantly ahead of the Altai Republic and the Magadan region, informs RBC with reference to the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

In 2022, the Altai Republic and the Magadan Region took place in the top 3 in terms of the decrease in the real income of the population. In these regions, the indicator decreased by 6.9% and 6.6%, respectively. In the fourth place was Ingushetia (-6.4%), closing the five “leading” Kaliningrad regions (-6.3%) mentioned in the material.

The top ten also includes the Penza Region, Kamchatka Region, Ivanovo Region, Karachay-Cherkessia and Arkhangelsk Region. The article concludes that the real incomes of the population in these regions have fallen by 6%, 5.9%, 5.6%, 5.4% and 5.3% by the end of 2022, respectively.
