According to a survey by a Swiss newspaper Tags-AnzeigerAbout half (49%) of Swiss residents favored confiscation of sanctioned Russian assets in favor of Ukraine, with 46% of respondents voting against this measure.

5% of the respondents said that they do not know the answer to the question.

Opinions are also divided on whether the Russian oligarchs should confiscate frozen assets in Switzerland and transfer them to Ukraine for restoration: 49% say yes, 46% say no.

From the results of the survey, it seems that the idea of ​​confiscation received the greatest support from supporters of the Green Party: 70% of respondents supported the confiscation of assets, 24% opposed, and 6% answered “I do not”. I don’t know”.

The publication explains that the survey was conducted by the LeeWas Institute in collaboration with the Tamedia media group and 20 Minuten portal.

Previously, the majority of Swiss residents supported re-export of the country’s weapons to Ukraine.
