“I am pleased to announce the additional $1.2 billion transfer. “This is the first $10 billion tranche of direct budget support that the United States will provide in the coming months,” he said.
Yellen stressed that the main focus of the US strategy this year will be to prevent Russia from trying to circumvent US sanctions. The country also plans to increase the sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation.
