Medvedev talked about the future of Nord Stream 2

If Russia’s foreign partners open their eyes, the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project may have a good future. This opinion was expressed in an interview. DEA News” Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

The politician emphasized that there are general economic laws that cannot be ignored, funds are invested in the project, it is useful and profitable and beneficial for all participants.

According to Medvedev, Russia’s partners need to remember that they have taxpayers, voters and a host of social issues that need to be addressed.

“Not only to harm Russia, but to solve the most important tasks for their economy. Try to help your people. Make sure that the bills taxpayers receive are digestible,” said the Vice President of the Security Council.

He added that some time ago, the price of $400-500 gas in European countries seemed excessive, but today the prices are much higher.

“I am therefore a measured optimist on this matter,” Medvedev summed up.

Germany suspended the certification of Nord Stream 2, which was required to start the pipeline after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine.
