Kazakhstan will ban coal exports from the country by land for six months, informs Close to Sputnik Abroad.

The Republic also banned the export of gasoline and diesel from the country by any means of transportation.

In December-January, Kazakhstan had to stop gas exports to China due to severe gas shortages in the domestic market.

Previously, the Central Bank of Kazakhstan was recorded the base rate is 16.5% per annum. This is stated in the editor’s message posted on the website of the press service.

At the same time, the Kazakh regulator noted that the decision was made on the basis of updated forecasts, data analysis and an assessment of the balance of inflation risks. The world’s “uncertain geopolitical environment and its consequences” and high food prices were also taken into account.

Kazakhstani authorities allowed banks to take cash rubles abroad and convert them into a non-cash form. The country’s National Bank stressed that currently the country’s financial and credit institutions have several channels for making non-cash payments and transferring funds to bank accounts.
