From August to December 2022, the average number of cash loans given by banks per month reached 2.1 million, it says. RT. For the same period of 2021, this figure was below 2 million.

Analysts from the Compare study write that another clear trend emerged in the second half of 2022 – a decrease in the average loan amount.

The average loan amount for the period from August to December 2022 amounted to 229 thousand rubles. This amount is 25% lower than in 2021.

Experts believe that in 2023 the average loan amount will not increase significantly.

Experts note that banks will mainly give loans to reliable customers. Current loan rates are in the range of 12-32% per annum, depending on the reliability of the customer. Often times, users get offers around 20%.
