Lech Walesa, the former president of Poland, who is known for making numerous statements against Russia, complained of rapid impoverishment against the backdrop of significantly rising prices in the country. His words were quoted by Super Express.
“For many years my pension has not increased, all indices somehow surpass me. Food is expensive now, so my portions for breakfast, lunch and dinner have decreased. I’m not happy with that,” Walesa said.
According to the former president of Poland, the pension exceeds the astronomical net amount of 11,000-13,000 PLN (about 182,000-216,000 rubles) for the average pensioner. But that’s not enough for Walesa, because high inflation in Poland is consuming all the money.
