Russian Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov said that unexpected tax collection from business surplus income to replenish the state budget will certainly not be implemented through existing taxes. Words lead the way interfax.

“This is definitely not going to be a change to some of the existing taxes – income tax, VAT -” said the deputy head of the Russian financial department.

According to him, the form of this payment should be discussed with the entity by entering into a consolidated position.

Sazanov also noted that there is currently no clear understanding of neither the amount nor the method of payment.

Therefore, according to him, there are two options: voluntary payment or introducing some kind of mandatory fee, which must be evaluated together with the business.

“This can be a mandatory payment, (perhaps – socialbites.ca) it can be voluntary,” the deputy head of the Ministry of Finance summed up.
