Bangladesh joined the sanctions and closed ports to Russian ships. Reported by Financial Express

The Bangladeshi government has banned 69 Russian ships from entering its ports under EU and US sanctions. Ships cannot bring cargo, stop for refueling or use sea routes in the region.

It was previously reported to the Bangladesh Navy will receive Three landing craft of the project by the Norwegian company Vard Marine. According to the publication, the contract with Vard Marine was signed in November 2022. The project will be based on the Vard 7 507 and serial ships of the Vard Marine company.

The landing craft will be designed to transport troops, tanks, equipment and supplies, as well as operations in Bangladesh’s coastal areas.

Secondary missions include humanitarian and disaster relief along the Bay of Bengal coast.
