A mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has started work in Ukraine, where a new $16 billion loan program will be discussed, Strana.ua reported.
According to Radio Liberty, to which the broadcast refers, the IMF delegation led by Gavin Gray is starting talks with representatives from Kyiv to prepare for the revision of the Monitoring Program with the participation of the Board of Directors.
Formerly Financial Times Wrote The IMF plans to discuss a new aid package of 14-16 billion dollars with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities.
according to sources BloombergThe financial support program for Ukraine is designed for three to four years. The plan can be agreed upon by the end of March and the first tranche can be taken in April.
The provision of support is subject to a number of conditions, including approval of the G7, changes to the IMF’s own rules on lending to conflicting countries, and Ukraine’s commitment to implement the funded reforms.
