Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the United States acknowledged involvement in the explosions at the Nord Stream gas pipeline. He stated this in an interview he gave for the “Important conversations” lecture devoted to the topic “Russia and the world” published on the ministry’s website.

“In fact, US officials admit that the explosions in Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 were their own work. Now they even talk about it with pleasure.”

According to him, the United States realized that Russia had “cooperated very well with Germany” or rather “cooperated very well” with the Russian Federation in the last two or three decades. Lavrov noted that a “strong alliance” has emerged, based on Russian energy resources and German technologies, and this has begun to threaten the monopoly position of many American companies, so the United States decided to destroy it literally.

The minister noted that the friendship between the Russians and the Germans has become the “bone in the throat” of those who do not want competition, especially the USA, which sees itself as the “main hegemon”.

Former MEP Gunnar Beck declarationThis may be why the United States does not like the strengthening of economic ties between Russia and Germany, which is why Washington is involved in possible sabotage in Nord Stream.

Before that, American journalist Seymour Hersh published his own results. investigationsHe stated that American submarines placed bombs under the gas pipelines as part of NATO exercises and Norwegian experts activated them.
