As noted in the material, a year ago, the average cost of a mortgage loan was 6.47 million rubles. The most important factor in its growth is the increase in housing prices. The total amount of mortgage loans for the purchase of real estate in Moscow in 2022 amounted to RUB 666 billion.

According to the research, the maximum volume of mortgages for the purchase of housing in Moscow was observed in February 2022 – 74 billion rubles, and also in December – 87 billion rubles. At the same time, in January 2022, buyers of Moscow real estate borrowed an average of 7 million rubles from banks, in December the average amount of mortgage loans was already 8 million rubles. It is noted that as the loan amount grows, the maturity of the loan also increases. According to Progorod, at the end of 2022, the average maturity of housing loans in Moscow was 24.4 years, while in January it reached 22.2 years.
