Russian President’s Press Secretary, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters in a briefing that he consulted with several OPEC+ members before the Russian Federation decided to voluntarily cut oil production in March.
“There have been talks with a number of OPEC+ members,” a Kremlin spokesperson said in response to a question on the matter.
At the same time, Peskov did not specify the purpose of the decision to voluntarily reduce oil production and recommended that this issue be conveyed to the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak.
“It’s better to ask Novak for clarification, because we’re talking about his testimony,” he said.
