Annual inflation in Russia rose to 11.7% 08.02.2023, 23:43

Annual inflation in Russia in the January 31-February 6 period increased from 11.5% to 11.72% compared to the previous week. It has been reported TASS With reference to the data of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

“In the week of January 31 – February 6, 2023, inflation was 0.26 percent – 11.72 percent on an annual basis,” the ministry said.

According to the agency, food inflation stood at 0.51% on the back of seasonal increases in fruit and vegetable prices. It is noteworthy that the price increase in other products remained at the levels close to the previous week.

Prices in non-food items rose 0.02% after no increase in prices a week ago. Prices in the services sector increased by 0.21 percent.

According to Rosstat data published earlier that day, real disposable income of Russians in 2022 decreased 1% compared to 2021. At the same time, the average cash income per capita in 2022 increased by 12.4% year-on-year to 45,272 thousand rubles per month.
