The Russian Ministry of Economic Development has decided not to extend the postponement of tour operators to return funds to customers for tourist trips canceled due to the pandemic until 2023. The newspaper writes about it “News”.
“The postponement was valid for over 2.5 years, more than 90 percent of the debts during this period were repaid,” the ministry told the publication.
The Ministry of Economic Development reported that the debt of operators to tourists was 40 billion rubles in April 2022 and fell to 1.5 billion rubles in December.
It has been noted that the search for alternative solutions that can protect tourists is currently underway.
