According to the agency, Tehran was selling 1.23 million barrels of oil a day abroad in November. This is the highest level since August 2022 and is almost at the same level as April 2019 exports of 1.27 million barrels per day. Kpler calculated that the daily export volume in December was 1 million barrels.
At the same time, SVB International, a consulting company in the energy sector, reported that Iran’s raw material exports were 1.095 million barrels per day in November and rose to 1.137 million barrels per day in December.
Tehran does not publish official data on oil exports. Iran’s oil exports fell after US President Donald Trump imposed sanctions against the Islamic country in 2018. As a result, commodity sales fell from 2.5 million bpd in 2018 to 100,000 bpd some days in 2020.
