Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas has urged the West to increase sanctions pressure on Russia and lower the ceiling price for Russian oil. TASS.

During a meeting with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, Kallas said that strengthening sanctions on Russian energy carriers is a key issue.

“The ceiling price of Russian oil should be lowered even more than before. The Estonian prime minister said that its overhaul should begin in the near future.

He also called for more military aid to Ukraine, emphasizing that these are the “path to peace”.

Since December 5, the G7 countries, the EU and Australia have set a ceiling price of $60 per barrel for Russian oil delivered by sea. As of February 5, 2023, the ceiling price for petroleum products will also come into effect, cost parameters have not yet been determined.

In turn, on December 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree Banning the supply of Russian oil to countries that support these restrictions from February.
