Aircraft maintenance and repair provider A-Technics, a subsidiary of Aeroflot, has carried out periodic maintenance of more than 300 types of aircraft in 2022, the airline’s press service reported.
As A-Technics General Manager Mihail Korobovich has stated, the company has managed to continue its self-confident work and development despite external factors and difficulties.
“During the year, we successfully performed a full maintenance cycle of Aeroflot Group aircraft of all types, from the light to the most labor-intensive and heavy. “To date, A-Technics has everything necessary for the stable maintenance of the airworthiness of the group’s air fleet: highly qualified personnel, rich experience, in-depth knowledge of available aviation equipment and the necessary material basis.”
According to him, the process of expanding the competencies and increasing the volume of work will continue in 2023.
It was noted that A-Technics had filled 54 “heavy” C-check forms in the past year, 19 of which were in the wide-body fleet (Boeing 777, Boeing 747-400 and Airbus A330). In addition, more than 250 “light” A-check forms and more than 220 additional work were carried out, such as replacing engines, auxiliary power units and more. In addition, the provider performed all types of operational maintenance on a daily basis as part of the aircraft’s pre-flight and post-flight preparation.
“The volumes achieved show that, despite the unprecedented sanctions of Western countries against Russian civil aviation, the company continues its stable operation and reliable technical support for the Aeroflot Group’s air fleet. A-Technics provided simultaneous technical support to more than 300 aircraft throughout the year, ensuring a high level of air fleet availability for smooth flight schedule implementation.
At the same time, in 2022, active work continued to expand the scope of the company’s activities, and the provider actively developed the network of line service stations (LSTO) in the regions.
As a reminder, as part of the implementation of the Aeroflot Group’s new strategy to organize the maintenance of its air fleet, the provider began acquiring the production facilities of the Aeroflot Maintenance Department (TTO) in the second half of the year. Thus, A-Technics became the sole provider of periodic maintenance services to the Aeroflot Group’s fleet at Sheremetyevo Airport.
