Kazakhstan Energy Ministry: Russia supports the transit of Kazakh oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline

Russia gave verbal support for the pumping of Kazakh oil through the Druzhba pipeline to Germany. According to preliminary estimates, the first batch will be 20 thousand tons of raw materials, opens “Interfax” words of Kazakhstan Energy Minister Bolat Akçulakov.

“We were waiting for the official approval of our colleagues from Russia to pass through the territory of the Russian Federation. We have verbal confirmation. First batch, preparation, 20 thousand tons of oil. This is a monthly volume,” Akchulakov said.

The minister also announced that Kazakhstan plans to send the first batch of oil to Germany in January 2023. Astana plans to export a total of 1.5 million tons of raw materials to Germany by the end of this year. However, in the future these volumes may increase to 7 million tons on an annual basis.
