Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that Kiev expects to receive $17 billion in 2023 for priority restoration of property damaged by the conflict. He announced this at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, whose video he posted on his Telegram channel.

“Today, from the sources we already understand, the total amount for restoration is about 110 billion hryvnia (almost 3 billion dollars – socialbites.ca). In total, we expect to receive 17 billion dollars or 680 billion UAH for the priority restoration of damaged and destroyed properties this year,” said Shmyhal. .

He noted that the restoration plan will begin this year.

According to him, the sources of financing will be confiscated funds of the Russian Federation, money from the Ukrainian budget, and in particular 35 billion hryvnia ($ 952.3 million). Funds for this will also be directed by international partners and donors.
