Organized tourist flow to Crimea in 2022 decreased by half compared to the previous year. Andrey Pylov, President of the Association “Crimean Tourist Alliance” told about this. Wrote TASS.

“According to our association, which covers most of the market, the decline in organized tourist flows to Crimea is around 50 percent on average compared to last year,” Pylov said.

Speaking of the decrease in the indicator, the head of the company refers to the flow of tourists, which is controlled by tour operators and registers accommodation facilities. According to him, agencies related to charter flights suffered the most.

Pylov also attributed the decline to the fact that tourists began to plan their trips on their own more often than using the services of travel agencies. According to him, the number of autotourists has increased significantly over the past year. However, it is not possible to calculate their exact number.

He added that in 2022, approximately 2 million organized tourists entered the region in total.

At the end of December, Maya Lomidze, Executive Director of the Russian Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) saidThat domestic organized tourism in Russia has grown above the market in 2022. Dagestan, Moscow, Crimea and St. Petersburg became the leader in the number of tourists.
