HeadHunter survey shows 33% of companies cut headcount by 2022

33% of Russian companies registered a reduction in the number of employees in 2022. Such results were demonstrated by a HeadHunter survey among employers. Wrote RBC edition.

The study included 256 companies with varying numbers of employees, from 50 to more than 1,000 people. Often large companies faced staff reductions.

Research shows that in general, 2022 is a more unfortunate year for large companies than for medium and small businesses. Three-quarters of the representatives of the largest organizations felt the negative impact of 2022 sanctions, special operations, partial mobilization and other events on their businesses.

In addition, 46% of employers said that the events of 2022 affected their companies much more than the coronavirus and subsequent restrictions. Another 23% believe the effect is almost the same. For 12% of respondents, events two years ago turned out to be more important.
