Colonial Pipeline, the largest pipeline operator in the US, has suspended one of its pipelines due to a leak. Agency reports Bloomberg.

According to the agency, fuel was delivered to the northeast of the country through the leaked pipeline. The leak was due to equipment malfunction.

“About 60 barrels of diesel fuel leaked from the damaged Colonial pipe and reached the rainwater collection tank,” said Aaron Proctor, spokesman for the State Department of Environmental Quality.

The incident occurred near Danville, Virginia. The company plans to restart the pipeline on January 7.
