Belarusian Transport and Communications Minister Aleksey Avramenko said that the country plans to build a port in Russia with the participation of credit resources from Russian banks. He told the news agency “Waist”.

According to him, Minsk will control the entry of ships and send Belarusian export cargoes through the port.

He added that this is a large-scale project for the country that requires more extensive work.

Former Minister of Economy Alexander Chervyakov declarationThat the Belarusian GDP grew by 7% in the 11 months of 2022.

He noted that this level was provided by the growth of nominal GDP and the stability of the national currency.

According to Chervyakov, Belarus compensated 80% of the export loss associated with Western sanctions.

Prior to that, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that the Belarusian economy allegedly “based on Western sanctions in 2022”. He later said that officials saw “a certain good improvement and growth in the economy as a whole”, but they saw the presence of problems in businesses and noted that “all is not so well” in the republic’s economy.
