Gazprom sets a new record for daily gas supply to China

On January 1 and 3, Gazprom updated the record, exceeding the daily gas supply to China specified in the contract. The company announced this in its announcement telegraph channel.

“Recall that from January 1, the company reached a fundamentally new level of daily deliveries stipulated by the 2023 contract. At the same time, Gazprom exceeded this level on 1 and 3 January (0.45% on 3 January),” he said.

He explained that in 2022, at Beijing’s request, deliveries regularly exceeded contractual obligations, thus over-fulfilling the agreement. Also, at the request of its Chinese colleagues, on December 31, Gazprom entered the daily volume supply provided by the contact for the next year ahead of schedule.

Last year, the company repeatedly reported record fuel deliveries to China. The last one was recorded on 28 December, the maximum excess of contractual obligations was 18.7%. Miller noted that the total volume of exports to China reached 48 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
