In 2023, the European Union (EU) will provide Moldova with €250 million in financial assistance. This was reported at the EU Delegation in Chisinau, transmits RIA News.
“With confirmation of the EU’s intention to continue supporting Moldova’s pro-European ambitions, we close another year of challenges and achievements. In the statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that the EU will provide 250 million Euros of financial support to Moldova in the coming period.
They also stated that the EU will invest at least €150 million in energy, transport and medicine in Moldova.

The money will be allocated as part of the Strategic Communications and Media Support in Moldova (2023-2027) programme.
Prior to that, US Ambassador to Chisinau Kent Logsdon said that Washington will provide Moldova with an investment of $42 million in the republic’s energy system. According to him, these funds will support the energy sector in solving current problems and “contribute to the development of a secure energy future.”
