Austrian Minister of Labor and Economy Martin Kocher warned that high energy prices in EU countries could lead to the deindustrialization of Europe and the transfer of production to other parts of the world. Reported in this article LessonStandard.

“As far as energy-intensive companies are concerned, there is a risk of deindustrialization in Europe. If this difference in prices continues for a long time, we will lose production.”

According to him, there will be a risk of job loss in the future and a strategic dependency will emerge.

“This does not affect the entire economy, but affects areas such as the production of steel, paper, glass, etc.,” Kocher said.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics.

The decision to run the operation became the justification for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
