US Treasury announces new sanctions against 10 maritime-related Russian companies, reports DEA News.
The list of sanctions includes the Marine Engineering Research Institute, the Agat Morinformsystem concern, Marine Navigation Systems JSC and other companies.
Earlier, US authorities had imposed sanctions on five members of the Russian Railways (RZD) board, including Russian Deputy Prime Ministers Dmitry Chernyshenko and Andrey Belousov.
In addition to Chernyshenko and Belousov, the list includes Russian Railways CEO Oleg Belozerov, PAO Sovcomflot Chairman Sergei Frank and Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov, the explanatory materials say.
Before that, the U.S. Treasury introduced Sanctions against Vladimir Potanin, one of the main owners of Norilsk Nickel, the first deputy head of government Andrey Belousov, and a number of Russian governors.
In an interview with socialbites.ca, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, commented on the US Treasury Department’s inclusion on the sanctions list and said that US sanctions will not affect his life in any way.
