Ukrainian national company Energoatom said power units controlled by Ukraine are connected to the grid. The company announced this on its Telegram channel.
It was noted that nine nuclear power units under the control of Ukraine started to work. The company stated that the capacity of one of the power units is limited to 600 MW due to the power system’s inability to accept the full amount of energy possible.
In September, the fifth power unit of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) was installed. disabled after bombarding communication lines. This was reported by the Ukrainian state agency Energoatom.
They added that the sixth power unit, which currently supplies electricity to Ukraine via a backup line with limited capacity and also meets the needs of the station, continues to operate.
On September 3, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said that the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was again disconnected from the last remaining main transmission line, but continued to operate on a backup line.
