EU summit agrees to allocate 18 billion Euros to Ukraine in 2023

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, at the press conference after the EU summit in Brussels, stated that the European Union agreed to allocate 18 billion Euros to Ukraine in 2023. TASS.

“We approved an 18 billion euro aid program to Ukraine. The EU keeps its word,” said Michel.

The amount will be transferred by the European Union to Ukraine in 2023, similar to how the funds were allocated in 2022 – as loans in installments and on preferential repayment terms.

Earlier, after the results of the European Union summit, approved 2 billion euro expansion of the European Peace Fund, which finances arms supplies to Ukraine.

On 12 December, the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that the European Peace Fund, which pays for arms supplies from the EU to Ukraine, will be expanded by €2 billion in 2023, followed by an additional €. 3.5 billion.
