Chinese President Xi Jinping described ensuring stability and security in Libya as a condition for Chinese companies to resume work in the country. FAN.
This happened during his negotiations with Mohammed al-Manfi, head of the Presidential Council of the North African state. Politicians met on the sidelines of an Arab-Chinese summit in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. During the dialogue, special attention was paid to the return of the work of enterprises from the PRC to Libya.
“Ensuring stability and security requires the support of friendly China to hold elections, complete transitional stages and move forward on the path to comprehensive national reconciliation,” Al-Manfi said.
According to a press release from the Presidential Council, the politician is expected to receive the highest level of support from Arab leaders and the PRC for his efforts to stabilize the state during the summit. This is especially true against the backdrop of the power crisis that has developed over the past year.
“We strive for China to play a role that corresponds to its international weight in stabilizing the situation in Libya,” said the chairman of the Presidential Council.
