RBC: Ministry of Finance proposes to limit tax regime for self-employed

Vitaly Prokaev, Deputy Head of the Tax Policy Department of the Russian Ministry of Finance, said that he considers it appropriate to limit the tax regime to the self-employed. He announced it at the Federation Council, reports red blood cell.

Self-employed people pay a reduced tax of 4% (when providing services to individuals) or 6% (when providing services to legal entities) on professional income.

Now more than 6 million self-employed people are registered in Russia.

Earlier, it was reported that in September 2022, it is in the consolidated budget of Russia. received 41.4% less tax than in March of the same year. It is pointed out that the decrease in revenues is affected by the strengthening of the national currency and the decrease in the volume of hydrocarbon supply against the backdrop of restrictive measures.
