The Central Bank of Russia does not see the need to maintain the current preferential mortgage program for new buildings. This was announced at a press conference by Ksenia Yudaeva, First Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Russia, and Alexander Danilov, Director of the Department of Banking Regulation and Analytics. “Of course as a precaution against the crisis this program worked and for these purposes it is not needed. Therefore, of course, it also does not need to remain unchanged, ”said Yudaeva.
According to him, there is even an imbalance in the market that needs correction due to this mortgage. At the same time, Danilov said that after the end of the grace period for issuing loans for the purchase of apartments in new buildings, the demand will be redistributed to other offers in this market.
In the second half of November at the Ministry of Finance of Russia declarationthose who do not see the need to extend the preferential mortgage currently at 7% per annum. The program will end on 31 December 2022.
