In his appeal, he reminded that, according to current legislation, a child with a disability is entitled to a pension only in the event of the death of a parent – for disability or loss of a livelihood.
He pointed out that in the event of the death of one of the parents of a healthy child, he was paid a social pension for losing a breadwinner, but that he was not entitled to any payment if a disabled child lost his livelihood. because according to the law he is “not entitled to pay two pensions at once” .
At the same time, as the parliamentarian noted, a number of categories of citizens can receive two pensions at once. We are talking about people who participated in the Great Patriotic War, as well as people who became disabled due to military injuries, parents, widows and widows of deceased soldiers.
“I think it’s important to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of both children with disabilities and socially vulnerable parents,” said Lantratova.
The deputy appealed to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, with a request to instruct him to resolve this issue together with the relevant ministries and departments.
