Currently, Russians have the last opportunity to buy cars on credit on relatively favorable terms. In the future, loans for citizens will not become more affordable and the cost of new cars will increase, informs “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, referring to the opinions of experts in the automobile market.

Now there is a state program for preferential car loans for Russians. It was supposed to expire on 1 December, but the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg) extended the program until 20 December. However, Alexandra Potapova, vice president of Autofinance Otkritie Avto tribe, said it is not worth delaying buying a car on loan, as loan interest rates may change next year.

A similar opinion was expressed by Artem Yazykov, Managing Director of Sovcombank. According to him, it is now necessary to buy a car on credit for several reasons.

“Many banks now offer this program and their number will decrease as the allocated limit is used up, which means that the choice of the lender will be limited. The second point is the exaggeration that occurs every time a state program ends,” Yazykov explained.

As he explains, due to the high demand for cars, it may not be possible to have the right option or the necessary color scheme to complete the vehicle. In addition, a rapid increase in demand with a limited supply in the market often leads to higher prices.

November 24 dealers she asked The Ministry of Industry and Trade will include Renault cars in the preferential vehicle loan program. However, there has been no response from the ministry to this initiative so far. At the same time, Russian car dealers have about 5,000 new cars from the French brand Renault. A preferential car loan program will assist in their implementation.
