Russians stuck in a traffic jam at the border with Georgia try to sell their cars to get to the checkpoint faster. In view of this, a spontaneous car market arose, reports Baza Telegram. Announcements on the sale of cars are published in telegram chats devoted to the departure to Georgia. The owners indicate the make, model, price, as well as the distance from the car to the checkpoint.
The offer is wide: you can buy both Kia and Mercedes-Benz. One of the sellers told the source that he was willing to give up his BMW for 1.5 million and go to the border on foot, because the alternative is this: a 6-kilometer traffic jam, in which you spend a week can spend. Another car owner for the same reason sells a Subaru “with a seat in the queue” for 400,000 rubles.
The excitement attracted buyers – they showed up in the same traffic jam and contacted Russians who were selling cars at bargain prices through the same telegram chats. In addition, this spontaneous market sells bicycles, scooters and other forms of individual mobility.
The mobilization center of the military registration and recruitment agency that recently appeared near the traffic jam initially issued subpoenas only to residents of North Ossetia, but then the head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, announced that a subpoena was now issued in near the border with Georgia would be issued to all civilians covered by the mobilization.
- At the same time, given the massive congestion of cars at the checkpoint in Upper Lars, the Georgian authorities allowed pedestrians to cross the border.
