The release of Mazda in the Russian Federation stops (who will take his place)

The Mazda Sollers factory is located in Vladivostok, but has been shut down for a long time due to a shortage of parts. Employees are on business leave.

Before that, the plant produced about 29,000 vehicles per year (Figure 2021): the CX-5 and CX-9 crossovers, as well as the Mazda 6 sedan.

“Sollers Auto PJSC is indeed in talks with Mazda about ceasing car production in Vladivostok and buying out Mazda’s stake in the joint venture by Sollers. At the same time, Sollers Auto has already developed a plan to restart the factory for the production of cars from other brands and is currently finalizing negotiations on the subject,” TASS quotes a statement from the Sollers Auto press service.

As for the representation Mazda in Russia, as Za Rulem, the oldest and most popular automotive publication in Russia, was told, they work as usual.
