AvtoVAZ has ordered the organization of three new projects – “Family of cars on a new platform”, “Cars on alternative energy sources” and “Small cars and additional equipment”, writes the public “Atypical AVTOVAZ” VKontakte.
Program “Cars on alternative energy sources” so far it has mainly concerned e-Largus, which will be produced in Izhevsk.
To the project “Small Vehicles and Additional Equipment” included programs “sport”, CNG, “cars for people with disabilities” and “training vehicles”.
About the project “Family of cars on a new platform” there is no clarity yet.
Existing projects have been updated. For example, “Cars on the Lada-B/C platform” are now called “Vesta Car Family”, “Lada 2190 and Lada Kalina Car Family” – “Granta Car Family”, “Lada 4×4” – “Niva and Largus Car Family” . .
The XRAY Car Family project was not included in the company’s plans. Earlier, the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, explained why this model was discontinued.
