The Soviet truck industry was undoubtedly an industry that dragged along all over the country – on the mighty shoulders of ZILs, GAZs, MAZs, KAMAZs, KrAZs and other steel heroes of those years, countless tons of various loads were transported across the Union. And the buses took us and our parents to school, to work, on a field trip to a neighboring town – or to the village, to visit our grandmother.
The years pass inexorably, and there are fewer on the roads, the mighty giants of the past age. It seems that the winds of time will blow again, and there will be no diamond-shaped tracks on the ground of Soviet truck tires …
But the newsreel footage still preserves the look of these fine trucks – and refreshes our memory.
The informative YouTube channel “Auto Video” has collected another (twelfth in a row!) “Lamp” video collection featuring trucks, buses and tractors from the USSR. What is not here! You will be rare for today “crocodiles” ZIL-133 GYa, Georgian Colchis almost did not come to us, incredibly hardy Ukrainian KrAZ trucks …
- Flashes in the video and the legendary “Rocket” – which is a triumph of the design “Ikarus-55”. By the way, such a bus has just been restored by the Moscow Museum of Transport.
- “Behind the wheel” can be read in Odnoklassniki.
