Russia plans to introduce labeling of auto parts to fight counterfeiting 13:38

An experiment on labeling auto parts is planned in Russia. The relevant draft government decision was developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. reports TASS, citing the ministry’s press service.

“On the issue of automobile spare parts, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has carried out work to reach an agreement with the business community on the range of products for which a similar experiment is recommended,” the ministry’s statement said.

A draft government decision on the conduct of a labeling experiment will be sent for inter-ministerial approval in the near future. The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that proposals for labeling auto parts, lubricants and technical fluids came from the business community and government officials; He explained that these were due to the large illegal trade in such goods in the industry.
