Used cars from Europe – is it profitable again? In any case, this is an option to consider.
In the new issue of Za Rulem magazine, the oldest and most authoritative automotive publication in Russia, Alexander Vinogradov tells how the second generation Opel Insignia Country Tourer from 2018 and with a mileage of 100,000 kilometers through Germany ended up in Russia.
According to the owner, the four-wheel drive car with a 210 hp diesel engine and a wealth of equipment eventually cost 25,000 euros, of which 5,000 spent on various “overheads”.
Was the car worth it?
Such station wagons Opel Insignia Country Tourer Turbo 4 × 4 were produced from 2017 to 2020
This is what you should prepare for when buying a car in Europe: there is no spare tire in the trunk, but a subwoofer and a repair kit! But the fifth door has a multi-position electric drive.
And in general, it seems that there are all possible options: despite the stereotype about European cars, supposedly devoid of any kind of heating, in “our” Insignia they have not forgotten to heat both the steering wheel and the seats.
In addition to heating, the front seats also have ventilation.
How is the condition of the salon?
The driver’s seat is full of adjustments, including adjusting lateral support. And most importantly – for 100 thousand kilometers the skin was not affected. Here the leather edge of the steering wheel is a little polished, but it still holds – before 200 thousand, the narrowing will certainly not be necessary.
In general, Opel has long been engaged in the creation of high-quality interiors: the proportion of soft plastic is high, there are no “crickets”.
However, a car imported from Europe in the current situation is a whole scattering of various surprises and nuances.
We discuss them all in the new issue of “Behind the Wheel” magazine. Available soon!
