Traveling by train or car? Which of these options takes less time? During the holidays, many motorists are confronted with such questions.

To answer them through a daring experiment decided in the Russian representative office of the car brand Suzuki and LAV Productions.

Motoring journalist Andrey Leontiev set out in a Suzuki Vitara car for a journey of more than 9,100 kilometers along the Moscow-Vladivostok Trans-Siberian Railway.

Simultaneously with the car from the Yaroslavsky train station in Moscow in the direction of Vladivostok, an express train began, in which travel blogger Yulia Kostyushkina traveled.

To get to the final destination before the train at the station, Leontiev had to cover the distance in six days, covering at least 1,500 kilometers a day and not being able to transfer at the wheel.

At the same time, he had to take into account current speed limits and other traffic regulations, video cameras, traffic jams, bad weather and native Russian road conditions.

According to the journalist, the car showed itself well in terms of interior ergonomics, elasticity of the drive unit, reliable and energy-intensive suspension.

The race ended on July 25. Leontiev arrived at the station in Vladivostok before the fast train and met Yulia Kostyushkina on the platform with the promised bouquet of flowers.
