Ford to declassify next-gen Mustang in fall

Ford will unveil the next generation of the Mustang sports car at the Detroit Auto Show in the fall of 2022. About informs Automotive News Europe cited sources familiar with the company’s plans.

According to him, the launch of a new generation sports car will take place at the first auto show in Detroit since the beginning of the pandemic. The opening of the exhibition is expected on September 14, 2022. According to publication sources, the car will have a V8 engine, alternatively, four-cylinder Ecoboost engines will be offered to buyers. Mass production of the new Ford Mustang is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2023 at the factory in Flat Rock, Michigan.

Production of the first generation Ford Mustang began in 1964. Currently, the sixth generation of the model is being produced.
